To Send Us PR Material:

All press releases, analyst releases, announcements, and other unsolicited PR material MUST be sent to our general news and PR mailbox. If you send material to any other email address, it will bypass our distribution system and be lost. If you send any inquiries or requests to the PR mailbox, it will also be lost. We have a lot of material to process, and we ask everyone to please play by the rules!

Policy on Vendor Briefings: READ THIS CAREFULLY

CIMI Corporation does not accept requests for phone or in-person briefings on new products or announcements. Instead, we will review presentations in PowerPoint or PDF format, and text documents on selected announcements, if we have asked for this material to be sent. If we do request and review presentation material, we will still provide press quotes on request and serve as a media reference if you like. If you want feedback on a press presentation, that must be handled as paid phone consulting.

What We'll Accept Announcement Material On

We accept presentation material on new product announcements, technology announcement, architecture announcements, or other announcements that include new technical elements or content. We will never take a detailed presentation material on something already announced, on organizational changes, customer wins, new directions not represented by product or technology announcements, etc.

How To Ask Us To Review Your Material

Contact us no more than two weeks prior to when the announcement will be given to the press, and provide us with a summary of what you will be announcing, a copy of the press release, etc. If we believe the announcement is significant and desire further information, we will contact you and ask for a copy of the presentation material. If we have any questions on the material once it has been delivered and reviewed, we'll send them via email to your designated contact.

Send your requests via email to our inquiries mailbox. Do not use this email for PR distributions! When you contact us to request our review of your announcement, you must provide us with sufficient detail on your announcement that we can determine if the product/service is strategic in our view, and decide just what material we think we'll need. We'll execute an NDA if necessary. You will be contacted and advised as to whether we will accept material for review. Please do not send material unless we request it, and do not request phone or personal briefings!

Other Policy Points

If you'd like us to provide a quote for your press release, please send a draft copy of the release with an indication of where the quote will be placed and the general issue you'd like a quote on (market conditions, specific feature, etc.). We will provide several sentences of comment, which you may use or discard but which you may not change. We will not negotiate on specific quote structure, language, etc. Our quote will always reflect our actual view, and we will not approve "canned" quotes supplied by the vendor.

We will serve as a press reference on any announcement we have reviewed. You need not contact us to ask our permission to list ourselves as such.

These reviews of announcements are not consulting engagements, and we will not provide you with input on your concept or approach during a briefing.

Media Inquiries for Quotes

Our CEO, Tom Nolle, is generally available for comment on industry events, technology trends, etc. to members of the trade, business, and popular press.
