It's easy, when you're tied up in the usual day-to-day grind, to forget that this planet has a wealth of adventures, ones in which you can share. We at CIMI Corporation try to balance technology and this wider world. Sometimes that means getting away to exotic places and having unusual adventures. Sometimes it means finding something special closer to home. Many of our clients have seen some of the pictures from our travels, and some have asked why we didn't turn these pictures, and our writing skills, into another element of our business.

We've heard you, and we're now taking your advice. CIMI Corporation is pleased to offer two new digital product sets based not on technology or network consulting, but on the experiences this wide and wonderful world can offer.

Our first new digital product is an electronic adventure book series that we call the TREKKEBOOK^TM series. These e-books will be distributed in Adobe Acrobat PDF format (you will have to load the latest Acrobat Reader from the Adobe website to view the books), and each will explore a special place, animal, or adventure. Our first TREKKEBOOK^TM , "Bear Tracks in the Snow", is a digital exploration of Churchill, Manitoba, Canada, and the annual polar bear migration that focuses on that city. Each of these electronic books offers an intimate view of a special experience that you may want to share by reading, or by duplicating. For the armchair traveler, the books provide a vivid alternative to what is sometimes an arduous and expensive trip. For the adventurer, each e-book offers what may well be the most detailed examination of a trip you may want to take yourself, providing insight into what to wear and buy, and even how to optimize your own photography. We have no motives to promote the trip, glamorize its positives, or gloss over its challenges. You'll get a fair picture of what to expect if you go there yourself.

Our second digital product is the image set itself. Each TREKKEBOOK^TM image has a code that can be referenced to order a license for the digital image, or prints from the image. While our adventure e-books provide many of our images, we're also including other shots we've taken, from insects to mountains. In addition, groups of images have been collected in an online catalog that can be viewed by clicking here. Photo editors and stock photo purchasers can obtain an Adobe Acrobat PDF of each image group by writing to CIMI Corporation, PO Box 1290 Voorhees, NJ 08043 on publication/agency letterhead. There is no charge for the catalog.

We've also offered a set of photo tips here. The journey from beginner to expert is a long one, and frankly one I've not completed. Still, I've learned some things along my own path (or at least I think I have) and I'm happy to offer them to you for review in the form of "Tom's Photo Tips".
